Bruce has 40 years of experience as a research and evaluation methodologist. His broad expertise includes conducting focus groups, surveys (mail, telephone, online), intercept interviews, executive interviews, ethnography, usability testing, and other techniques to measure what people think, feel, and do. His work has involved longitudinal analysis of national mass media advertising, impact analysis of social marketing campaigns, and various environmental, transportation, economic development, and health care related projects.
Bruce taught research methods, statistical analysis, and a variety of sociology classes for 10 years as an Associate Professor at Wilkes University. Prior to joining PRR in 1998 as Director of Research he worked as an evaluation coordinator for Public Health - Seattle & King County and as a Program/Executive Director in the brain injury rehabilitation field. The Public Relations Society of America and the International Association for Public Participation has recognized Bruce’s and his team’s research with awards for research excellence. In addition, his work has been presented at numerous conferences nationwide and published in scientific journals and books. Bruce holds a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of New Hampshire and is certified in social psychology and marketing research. |
