|
Carol Cooper is Managing Director of the Market Innovations section of King County Metro Transit. Her team enhances mobility for all King County residents by developing new products and services. Carol’s team puts the customer first in designing solutions, and uses research, market analysis and evaluation to guide their work. The team paints with a broad brush, working with employers on commute solutions, developing on-demand feeder services to Metro’s fixed route network, partnering with community based organizations to understand the needs of underserved communities, and implementing parking management and other strategies to maximize people’s access to mobility.
Carol has experience working in many facets of transit planning, but loves breaking down barriers and pushing the edges of traditional transit. Carol came to transit from a career in environmental planning, recognizing that transportation is the key to sustainable land use. Carol embraces the adage that there is more than one way to get there, wherever you are going, and that every trip counts. Carol has her Masters in Regional Planning from University of Arizona, and her Bachelors in Environmental Planning from Rutgers University. |
