Chris Thompson’s passion is creating value through human-centered, technology-driven learning interventions. As Director of Studio Design at Toolwire, Chris manages the evolution and innovation of learning systems, products, and processes. He works closely with client organizations to design and co-create learning experiences that support meaningful learning and positive business outcomes, such as increased sales, error reduction and employee retention. His learning solutions have helped a wide variety of organizations, large and small, in the corporate, government, and higher education sectors.
Throughout his 18-years in learning and development, Chris has put the end user first, leading cross-functional teams to employ user-centered design and development processes. His experience and skills include instructional systems design, UI/UX, product development, usability testing, agile, learning engagement platforms, games and simulations, training evaluation, badges and credentialing, and workflow development. In a former life, Chris was a video producer and still enjoys creative hobbies, as well as hiking, biking, and paddling in the great outdoors with his family. He holds a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology from Utah State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Brigham Young University. |
