An avid traveler and self-proclaimed hospitality expert, I have spent the last 14 years working in the travel industry. I began my career with Marriott hotels as a front desk agent while studying for my Bachelors of Science Degree in Hospitality Management. I quickly worked my way into management by working every position within a hotel from housekeeping to engineering to food and beverage. As a result, I have gained an innate understanding of customer needs and the ability to think swiftly and effectively when faced with challenging situations.
After a dedicated career in hotels, I made the transition into vacation rental management where I was responsible for the management of approximately 90 homes across the Puget Sound Interior. My focus was providing an incredible guest experience from the moment they checked into the home to the moment they checked out. I was responsible for ensuring problems were addressed, questions answered, and maintenance and home cleanliness maintained. I am currently the Store Manager for the AAA Cruise and Travel stores in Bellevue and Issaquah. It’s been a dream of mine to manage a travel agency and to be able to provide my travel agents with the tools and knowledge they need to help them build long-lasting, meaningful relationships with their clients so they can effortlessly plan their dream vacations. This is something I am incredibly thankful to wake up and do every day! The travel and hospitality industry is a fast-paced, ever changing industry that provides enriching experiences for both the staff and the customer. I am very excited to share my knowledge and experience with the Design Thinking Program and can’t wait to talk travel! |
