Colleen Mitchell is a life coach, analyst, podcast host, writer, and speaker.
She has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University and is studying for her life coach certification through The Life Coach School. Colleen works at NAES Corporation, the leading 3rd-party Operations & Maintenance provider for power plants across the United States. She serves on the company's corporate Safety Committee, the NAES Leadership Academy team, and regularly speaks at company conferences on topics such as Psychological Safety and Holding Space for Employee Emotions. In her life coaching practice, she helps diabetics (both type 1 & 2), creatives, and self-defined "hot messes" learn how to effectively manage stress, lose weight, and live like their conditions and circumstances don't control them. Colleen is the author of eBook Feed the Good Wolf: A Practical Guide to Adulting in the Age of Distraction & Instant Gratification. She is the host of podcast This is Type 1: Real Life with Type 1 Diabetes, where she and her co-host share their experiences with the condition and interview all sorts of people who also have type 1 diabetes or are connected to the community in some way. She has 13 years of volunteer leadership experience at Panther Day Camp, a week-long summer camp for kids with type 1 diabetes. Colleen's core message is that how we think about things determines how we experience them. |
