Ted Bailey is the Cooperative Automated Transportation (CAT) Program Manager for the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). Ted is responsible for developing and progressing WSDOT’s role and strategic vision relative to CAT, which includes readiness for Connected and Automated Vehicles, and how these transformative technologies can advance Washington’s multimodal transportation system. Ted is charged with maintaining an agency pulse on CAT and CAV issues, while engaging internally and externally with a wide array of partners.
Ted began his career with WSDOT in 1999. He is a registered professional engineer in Washington state with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington. He is originally from Minnesota, but lives in Olympia, Washington with his wife Robin and four children. He enjoys the outdoors, coaching youth sports and traveling overseas for mission work. |
